Wildlife Conservation Initiative Engage teen mothers in bee keeping and honey processing.

 The main objectives of the Apiculture project is to contribute to the alleviation of poverty in rural areas of 3 districts in Rwanda by engaging youth and teen mothers  in modern beekeeping and honey processing. 


Apiculture project contribute to the improvement of health and social-economic conditions of youth and teen mothers as well as to promote sustainable development initiatives, creativity, self-reliance and responsibility.


Apiculture project started  with 20 hives with aim to establish 100 hives and train of 50 youth and teen from local community members in the practice of beekeeping and honey processing to enhance personal and collective income and reducing  poverty in Gakenke district. 


To improve health standards of national and international community through the use of Muhabura honey from Apiculture projects. Muhabura honey is produced and processed naturally to meet high standards to establish an innovative model of income generating activity which can be replicated in other parts of the region.
